Vacation and the BIG 12 WEEKS!

This past week was great! I went to Bald Head Island with my family and had a blast. I think my family was a little disappointed because I pretty much slept the entire week. I often took a short nap after breakfast (since my stomach was often what woke me up). And, then I would sit out on the beach for a couple of hours and come in for lunch. Then go back to the beach for a couple hours and take another nap around 3:00pm.

We first arrived on Bald Head last Friday and since it was such an eventful day, I didn't take a nap. I decided to go upstairs shortly after dinner for a short power nap and ended up sleeping until Chris had to wake me up at 10:00pm for my injections. Crazy!

So, needless to say, my entire vacation was sleeping. But, that was a big week of growth for the babies. Each baby should be the size of a large lime by now! The pircture above is my first official belly pic. This was taken at 11 weeks at 4 days. Enjoy!

This next week is going to be a big week for prayers. I am officially taking my last injection on Monday. So, now we have to count on the babies to produce the hormones for themselves. We have been giving them these hormones since day 1. So, big prayers that they will be able to handle things on their own now. We also have our first trimester screening on Monday (bloodwork and ultrasound) and then our 12 week checkup at the doctor on Tuesday. That's where we get to hear the heart beats for the first time too! So, prayers for their strong heart beats would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much to everyone for your prayers this far! This next week is going to be critical for the babies. Our risk for miscarriage luckily goes down pretty significantly after Monday, but with the hormones not being injected any more, we are a little nervous. Thanks again for sharing this journey with us!
